The 6th Annual Juneteenth Festival: Celebrating Heritage & Culture is Philadelphia's only event commemorating the passage and ratification of the 13th Amendment ending slavery in the United States.
The festival, hosted by the Johnson House Historic Site, the 6300 Germantown Avenue Business Alliance, and Historic Germantown, will include activities for the whole family designed to bring history to life., including a reenactor portraying Harriet Tubman.
This FREE community festival will feature exhibits, family-friendly activities - including a moon bounce, discussions, performance arts and other activities. In addition, there will be information tables, vendors, pop-up beer garden and live entertainment.
The event begins at 10:00am with a kickoff parade. Interactive programming and tours at the Johnson House, Cliveden, Germantown Mennonite Historic Trust, and the Concord School House are also scheduled for the day. The Main Stage will feature live performances all day.
