The Sounds of Bloomsday - Rosenbach of the Free Library of Philadelphia

Bloomsday is always one of the highlights of our year. We have put together a week-long festival of events and programming celebrating James Joyce's masterpiece Ulysses that culminates on June 16.

Bloomsday, so-named after the novel's main character Leopold Bloom, is the annual holiday celebrating the novel. We mark the occasion with a day-long public reading of passages from the book, and accompany the readings with musical selections reflected in the text.

Dates: June 9 - 16, 2015

Cost: FREE
